Who Can Participate?
Young women who:
-
Are non-graduating high school students who will have
completed Algebra II or the equivalent, and Biology by summer
2006
-
Have an interest in Mathematics and Science
-
Are motivated and enthusiastic
-
Would like to experience college life
-
Would enjoy working with a diverse group of falculty
and peers
How Can I Be Selected?
A selection process will choose 24 participants based on
student applications. Applications will include a short essay,
school transcript, and recommendation letters from two teachers.
The completed application must be received by Monday, March
20, 2006. The selection process will be completed by Monday,
April 10, 2006
Living Arrangements
-
Participants will live in dormitories on the campus of
the Delaware State University. Meals will be served at
the University cafeteria

Particpants will have access to recreational facilities
on campus which include: most sports, an indoor swimming
pool, films and musical programs
Cost and Financial Aid
The program is free for all participants with a small stipend
awarded at the end of the program.
To The Parent(s)/Guardian(s)
Students will be housed in secure, on campus residence halls.
Participants will be closely supervised at all times by well-qualified
faculty and staff, experienced in working with culturally
diverse teenagers. Participants will be encouraged to maintain
conatct with their families through letter writing, e-mail
and phone calls
